  1. Marshall was not forgotten by any means, 
  2. certainly not among communications theorists and 
  3. people like that, but he was discredited and he was 
  4. very much overshadowed. Now in the 1990s a 
  5. number of people have rediscovered him, I think, 
  6. because a number of the things he said, which 
  7. where not quite so true when he said them, are 
  8. much more true now. I would say that CNN is 
  9. something that all of us look at from time to time 
  10. and most of us think about from time to time. It 
  11. was born the year Marshall died‚Äî1980. Anyway, 
  12. people look at CNN and they realize they are 
  13. watching something live in Tiananmen Square; they 
  14. are watching the Berlin Wall fall; they are watching
